Credit card debt and credit card debt bailout was unimaginable phenomenon just a decade back. Terms like bailout, retrenchment and the pink slip are more routinely used now when the whole world is in a grip of recession or just coming out of the cocoon. The companies have become slicker and of course meaner. In earlier times the credit card were used by the people of the upper echelons of the society. But then in the bad rush for more turnovers, credit card companies started handing out the cards without checking the background of the person receiving the card. All these coupled with the recession has left the country staring at a situation where millions of Americans are left with over $10000 worth of Credit card debt with no or little means of income to pay off debt.

Recession has also produced a new class of people who are christened as the pink slip people. These include in limbo crowd, the card debt desperate, financially distressed unemployed, jobless, depression victims and so on. The largest groups also are the largest defaulters who have incurred huge credit card debts. But what is the way out? Talk to your credit card service provider and negotiate a deal which is mutually convenient and no one is at a loss and you can get out of credit card debt. After the bank will not be pleased to see you bankrupt and incur complete loss of the debt amount.
