The Christmas season that had just gone by was full of surprises for my friends and I who went shopping for gifts to give away.  Naturally, we had all sorts of friends in different shapes and sizes.  Men were not that difficult to shop for but the women were another thing.

Luckily months before the onset of the season, magazines came out with sorts of Women’s Guide to Holiday Dressing and mentioned where to find them. Of course, I went as early as November to as many malls as my feet could carry me.  It was not that difficult since all of them have a section: The Complete Womens Wardrobe.  It has Clothing for Tall Women, Maternity Clothing for my pregnant niece-in-law, Petite Clothing for Women for my young nieces.  After checking my long lost list to make sure I had presents for everyone and finding out I had some extra cash, I went to the Plus-Sized Clothing for Women section.  I am a smart person and even when I was pregnant, I always buy outfits that look good on me.  This section always made my day.  It always had something that fit me whether I was heavy or thin. Shopping must never be an exercise of desperation nor exhausting.  Fashion stylists make Womens Clothing Designers for all of us.

My father’s birthday was coming up and for someone who has everything he needed and the money to purchase whatever he wants, choosing gifts were extremely difficult.  I wanted to give him something special, something unique, something that will make him remember me every time he sees it.  Although I was really opt to buy him the best gift, I had a slight problem, I did not have enough money to buy really expensive gifts like a set of golf clubs or signature clothes. for a coach like him.

I was really clueless on what to give my fathers, so I decided to go to the mall and look for ideas.   I was ready to leave the house when I saw my nephew making something, curious, I walked over to him.  I asked what he was doing, he said he was making his grandfather the best birthday card ever.  That hit me, of course! A happily married couple for about five years before never had a baby until they reached seven years and now their baby is three months old. As I was asking to my other friends, it seems that strollers are the most suggested one. Then I am considering the strollers as my gift but still thinking whether umbrella strollers or triple strollers and even all terrian strollers are the ones I should find. I was at this toy store looking for the perfect birthday gift for my uncle.  My uncle has a great interest in collecting different kinds of models of motor vehicles.  He has them inside display cabinets, but once in a while he would take them out, especially those that are battery operated for warming up.

The last time I was at my uncle’s place, he was busy assembling his ho model trains, the table he had specially made for his ho model  trains had finally arrived, and he couldn’t wait to see how his ho model trains will look like. I was looking for something similar to what my uncle was into, but ho model trains are no longer an option, since I didn’t know what models he already has.  I was thinking of getting him something else, there were rc helicopters and ho slot cars available, that are also popular gifts for hobbyists, such as my uncle. After quite some time, I decided rc helicopters is the better choice, since ho slot cars with its tracks would require a larger space.  I got him the latest rc helicopter and had it wrapped.  I definitely knew my uncle will love my gift.

Having a baby is the best news that any happily married couple can ask for.  From the moment the doctor announced you the great news, to the moment you’ll holding her for the first time, and every moment in between, there is nothing but unconditional love and joy you feel.  Your baby means the world to you, and for your baby everything has to be the best.

My guy friends were also going with the flow, they have at the least four to five NFL jerseys in their closet, stickers showing support to their NFL team are visible in their cars, they also have NFL caps  and banners.  This football mania  is really getting into people.  A football game is coming up this Saturday, and when my dad’s  buddy had an unfortunate accident and couldn’t go with him to the game, he asked me to go with him as not to waste the ticket, so I said yes.  When Saturday came my dad was knocking at  my door telling to get ready.  So, I did, after a couple of hours, I came down and almost burst out laughing, my dad was wearing a complete set of his favorite team’s merchandise, from the jersey, cap and up to the banner.   Good thing there weren’t any NFL shoes available for sale, so he’s just wearing his Adidas shoes.  After a quick breakfast, I grabbed my Louis Vuitton handbag and met my dad at the car, and guess what?  There was a huge NFL bumper sticker on our car.

You could feel  it in the air that winter is drawing close, the chill in the air is undeniable, in fact I got my UGG boots out of the closet to put on for work.  I love my  UGG boots especially in weather conditions like this,  they are sheepskin boots lined with wool on the inside and with a tanned outer surface.  They are available in different colors and styles, with various height range from around the ankle to above the knee. My boots were the slip-on variety, since I don’t like the lace-up variety.

After dressing up for work, I put on my watch, got my bag and headed out the door.  It was really chilly while waiting at the bus stop.
